Anti Bullying Posters
Most important trip of the year! Help!?
OK…in, like, a month, we’re going on a Grade 8 graduation trip. The only problem is, our school is unbelievably poor. Each student already paid more than $200, and we’re still short by, like, five thousand dollars, because our school prefers to spend money on anti-bullying posters (they’re EVERYWHERE!). So far, the eighth graders have gone through three fundraisers (only three for the whole year, can you believe it?!), and now we’re cramming in as many fundraisers as possible…we’ve got three coming up (a popsicle stand, a dance, and a garage sale). My prediction? Once you deduct all the costs of the DJ from the dance, the snacks from the dance, the costs of running a garage sale and a popsicle stand, we’ll raise a maximum of $1,500. That’ll make the total money raised about $2,500. So…I need an amazing idea for a fundraiser that’ll kick all the others’ butts, because these’ll be my last memories of school before the 9-hour-per-night work loads high school has to offer. Aarghh!
Talent Show. Last year when I was in eight grade I was the announcer at the talent show, it was really fun. I dont know if you have a gym at your school or not but you could always have it outside. Have people audition and dontate things like, a strobe light or whatever. Then set up flyer. Like $5 admittion and people could donate money as well. Then you have a car was, (with a donation bucket as well as cleaning fee) and a backsale, (also with a donation bucket.) since its summer you could have a lemonade stand. Get a big keg thingy fill it with water and put in some powder lemonade stuff. Set it up were everyone goes. When I raised money for the troops, we set up in front of the market. Then everyone bought some.
